GIDDY ART AT THE DOME HOUSE
Giddy Art exhibited at the Dome House, Bowness-on-Windermere Grand Launch. The Dome House shot to fame after being shown on the popular TV show Grand Designs, where presenter Kevin McCloud followed the progress of this impressive build. The Dome House has changed hands since the Grand Designs show and is now being run a ‘Luxury Home Stay’ by Joyce and Phil McGuire. The rooms have been re-designed and furnished to an incredibly high standard. With views overlooking Lake Windermere and just a stone's throw from the bustle of Bowness, the Dome House is the ideal luxury retreat in the heart of the Lakes. The Grand opening of the Dome House organised and marketed by Flock was on Tuesday the 26th September. The evening gave those invited the opportunity to view the Dome House in its new glory, with tours of the rooms and the opportunity to spend an evening under the magnificent ‘bow strung’ vaulted ceiling in the main living room. Local abstract artist Aimee Green, founder of Giddy Art was invited along and to display some of her work in the amazing setting of the Dome House. Giddy Art’s work was perfectly placed in the Dome House, the large abstract pieces with their vibrant colours and detailed textures creating a powerful visual image, with the Dome House as the backdrop. ‘Giddy Art’s work is an extended expression of ‘self’, with all pieces being created from inspirations drawn from the experiences of life’s rich tapestry and from the beautiful landscape of the Lake District.’ Aimee Green, Giddy Art founder.
